Founded in 1887, the San Diego County Dental Society is the largest professional organization representing dentists in San Diego and Imperial Counties, as well as being the local arm of the California and American Dental Associations. Membership is voluntary. About 70 percent of dentists in the San Diego area (approaching 2,000) are currently members.
